Notice of planned Elevator Inspection

Estimated End:  5PM Wednesday April 3, 2024

Apologies for short notice.  Elevator inspectors operate o their own schedule.

Tenant Impact

Elevators will be unavailable during the inspection
Other than that, no service impact is expected.
During one part of the inspection, UPS-backed facility equipment will run on Generator power
As with any work involving MGHPCC electrical distribution infrastructure, there is elevated risk.


Description

Contractors will be performing a routine state-required inspection of both the personnel and freight elevators in the MHGPCC data center in Holyoke MA. The inspection includes a transfer of facility load to generator power for approximately 30-60 minutes to confirm that the elevators can operate during a utility power outage.
